Grand Hotel La Pace

Our room, was large, very comfortable & quite. No in room coffee/tea service, disappointing. Public areas are expansive & beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very good. Dinner buffet varied from not so good couple nights, then very good other nights. Being American, the dinner selections were generous if you like pasta, cheese, cured meats and over cooked vegetables. The soups were delicious. Salads lacked any dark leafy green lettuce and only one dressing. Desserts & breads very good. No baggage handling, this isn't 5 star but 4 star.

Ok, it was 5 stars a decade or so ago, but actually the place has held up! You get used to the old world charm and decor. We stayed for a week and loved it more and more each day. The pool is great. The staff were nice. The half board breakfast is very normal and nothing to shout about but it feeds you and makes you ready for the day. We will definitely go back.

AWFUL. DO NOT STAY HERE. Where to start?? Location: D- or F Food: D Cleanliness: D Shuttle Service: F Coffee: F Pool: C if you don’t mind cold water or D- if you need some heat, F if you like it comfortable The people who run it were very nice and accommodating but 25-30 Euro each time to go to town. There is nothing around the hotel except a very good pizzeria. But no coffee or croissant or anything else. If you’re making the effort and spending the money to visit the AC, get a better hotel. The 5 stars is completely false.

WARNING Please Avoid at all costs!!! Now Firstly this Hotel is advertised as a 5 Star ⭐ (the only thing about this place being 5 Star is the signage). 2/3 Star ⭐at best . I can tell you that when you walk in you can be easily fooled it looks luxurious and glamorous at first from the entrance into the reception & that's where it stops!!! Rooms are poor quality shabby and dated like you are in a time warp back into the 30's .This Hotel needs some urgent TLC money spent and also all the staff to be re-trained or replaced by people who actually want to welcome you and want to make your trip enjoyable ! PLEASE LOOK AT IMAGES OF BEDROOM AND VIEW FROM ROOM Complained again and again and they were NOT interested, Toilet Cistern broken constant sound of dripping water , Safe not working, bed fell apart , view from room of ugly building (520) avoid rooms 518/519/520/521/522/ and that's just that floor. Advertised with Sauna , Jacuzzi's and Spa Treatment ALL NOT Available Whilst I was there for a week

My wife and I stayed here for our honey moon since we found a good deal through Hotwire. My main complain was that the building itself is not very modern so a lot of the equipment, rooms, etc, feel old. That however didn’t majorly impact our stay but a 5 star hotel should definitely have newer equipment and be more sophisticated in that sense. The lobby seems to be the only area that was upgraded. The positive things however was very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, a great shuttle system that we used often to go to Sorrento. I would definitely recommend it but just be aware that it is not a 5 star if you’re coming from America so just compare it to a 3-4 star one.

Very nice grand hotel entrance, it is very clean and spacious, probably could do with a face lift. But the staff and the team were very helpful. It is located, 30 minutes walk away from Sorrento . There is a shuttle bus from the hotel, 9,10,12 and then 3,5,6, 8:30,9:45 and 11. The rooms are functional, could do with teas and coffee facilities in the room. Pool is lovely. If I was being a little critical, it could be a bit larger. There was always sun beds availability. The beaches are small and full of sun loungers that you have to pay for. Their is a free jetty at la Marinella, get there early you can hire a chair for €4 and umbrella for €2. The area us very busy in July and weather is very hot and uncomfortably humid.
